2. How long does Total Knee Replacement (TKR) surgery take?
The main surgical procedure usually takes around 8 to 10 minutes. However, including anesthesia preparation, stitching, monitoring, and post-operative care, the complete process may take approximately 2 hours.
3. Is knee replacement surgery painful? How long does the pain last?
Like any major surgery, knee replacement surgery may involve some pain and discomfort. However, the pain is effectively managed by the anesthesia and pain management team. Most patients experience gradual pain relief during recovery and physiotherapy.
4. How many days do I need to stay in the hospital after surgery?
Generally, patients may need to stay in the hospital for approximately 4 days, depending on their recovery condition and medical advice.
5. When can I resume my daily activities after surgery?
